PAN Consulting was created in the early 90’s to help a $50 million NASDAQ Michigan company establish its operations in Europe. This company tried previously without success to find distributors or agents in Europe. Distributors would not permit to preserve margins and company image. Agents were not motivated. The company also was not ready to immediately invest into a fully owned subsidiary. With the help of PAN Consulting, after 3 years, this publicly traded company had reached $20 million in European sales with subsidiaries in France, UK, Ireland, Belgium and Spain. Its total revenue increased to $70 million. We realized at that time that many medium sized-to-large US companies with great products and technology would like to develop their market in Europe but are not ready or do not have sufficient resources to risk launching a startup in a foreign market. They often are approached by distributors at trade shows who propose unacceptable terms and conditions of sales. This results in either frustrated relationships or no sales and no market in Europe; a real dead end! With PAN Consulting nothing of this can happen: it is like having your own bilingual and bicultural executives start the hard development work from within Europe, at a fraction of the usual costs and with very limited risks.
